SEASON OF LIGHT

The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

Matthew 4:16 KJV

Light illuminates and expels darkness. God gave us the gift of light when He sent His son Jesus into the world. Christmas season is considered to be the season of light, yet so many people find themselves depressed and despondent without hope of future possibilities.  However difficult your situation may appear to be, there is a hopeful future story awaiting at the dawn.  Dawn is considered to be the first appearance of light in the sky before sunrise. Jesus is the true essence of “light” and the deliverance of daybreak.

The Apostle John said; “In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” The darkness that you are faced with is subject to the light of Christ.  In Christ there is no defining darkness for the believer. The Lord defines our destiny and determines our end state.  He has plans for us that rest upon His promises and future favor.  Sometimes we have to give the gift of light to those who are at the “dawn” of their experience. As we give the gift of light, our hearts will be lifted and the love of God will shine through.

We can’t always figure out the fight, however, it is fixed and we are destined to win. Sometimes walking in the season of light isn’t always a comfortable certain journey, but it is a process that God perfects.  He will not forsake the work of His hands.  Isaiah 60:1 says; “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.”
